MIDDLE SCHOOL CATEGORICAL PROGRAMS

Currently, there is only one categorical program within the middle school setting.  At Highlands Middle School, the district runs a regional self-contained program for 5th and 6th grade students identified with an emotional impairment.  Like the program for elementary students at North Oakview, this program is designed to modify maladaptive behaviors and address specific social and emotional goals as determined by the IEP team.
